Welcome to Restore Child and Youth Care Inc., a dedicated program for youth care in Calgary & Edmonton.
We are a mission-driven, Indigenous-focused organization offering group care for vulnerable children and youth.
Recognizing that children and youth in care often come from challenging circumstances, we provide the stability and support they need. Our approach combines both Western mental health support and Indigenous healing practices, such as healing with horses, to create a holistic care model. Through our licensed group care homes, tailored programs, and experienced staff, we create safe, nurturing spaces where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.
Meet the support team!
Program Director
Jacqueline brings over a decade of experience in youth and family services. With a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health specializing in Indigenous Health and currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work, she has a solid foundation in trauma-informed care, program management, and cultural competency.
Her personal journey, shaped by a diverse racial background and resilience through childhood adversity, has fueled her passion to become the founder and director of this program. Starting her career as a support worker, Jacqueline gained hands-on experience in trauma-based care and behavior change approaches. This practical experience, combined with her education and commitment, drives her dedication to offering holistic care that blends both Western and Indigenous healing practices.
Intake / Outreach Coordinator
Jill brings over 6 years of experience working with children and youth. With a background in childcare centers, group care, treatment centers, and studies in child psychology, her passion for humanitarian work has shaped both her personal and professional journey. Jill has extensive experience working with high-needs children, successfully stabilizing those who weren’t a good fit for group care programming. Her approach is grounded in being “a sister first before anything else,” which is why the kids bond with her so easily.
Beyond her intake duties, Jill also plans outreach programs fueled by her love for adventure, ensuring the children have meaningful and enriching experiences.
Contracted Indigenous In-House Therapist
This service is provided to the children in care with Restore Child and Youth Care Inc. through a private Indigenous Practice goes over our service plans, enlightens Indigenous ways of supporting the kiddos we have in care through restorative approaches.
This mental health model was developed by the Program Director to bring therapy directly into the home, a unique approach tailored to the needs of the youth in our care. Our Indigenous therapist works closely with the children, offering holistic mental health support. This model has proven highly effective, especially as we’ve recognized that avoidance behaviors are often a trauma response. With the Director’s expertise in health promotion and program planning, the decision was made to bring health and healing directly to the youth—creating a space where they can feel supported and understood in their own environment.
In - Home Supervisors
Our Team Leaders bring our homes to life, playing a vital role in our care programs! They create a warm, welcoming environment, ensuring the space remains clean, organized, and comfortable for the youth. With a trauma-informed background in education, our Team Leaders expertly implement the programs designed by the Director and Intake Coordinator. They help guide the youth through their healing journey with compassion and structure. Without their dedication and leadership, the smooth execution of these programs wouldn’t be possible.
Program Support Team
Our Program Support Team consists of hands-on, experienced child and youth workers who work closely with the Team Leaders to support and advocate for the children in our care. They play a crucial role in crisis management, providing immediate support when needed. Our support team is made up of professionals with extensive backgrounds in social work, child psychology, and students in related humanitarian and social work fields. They work directly with the youth, offering mental health support and guidance, ensuring each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
